Laura M. Brotherson says:
"
If Twilight-obsessed women would direct even half of their intimate and erotic energies towards their husbands and the real-life fantasy available to them, their marriage relationship would be greatly strengthened and become infinitely more satisfying."
I just sat down after a long busy day to unwind with the laptop. I turned it on and found this open in the browser:
http://www.ldsmag.com/familyconnections/100702twilight.html
It made me chuckle but the fact that my dear husband had read, and then decided to click on this headline amongst all of them in our in-box strikes me as significant. Food for thought... please share what you think.

  1. whoa am i out of the loop with this Twilight stuff
    ... I hadn't realized it was such a phenomena...

i will tell you though; i don't agree with this:

Wives can't compete with that fantasy either.

if any of you have ever seen porn (and i know you have!) you will admit it is cheesy, fake and cheap.

when you mix love, a bit of creativity and eroticism, look out!!! your spouse won't be able to get enough of you

i believe it is essential to wow my S.O. at least once a day, by dressing and looking impeccable and sexy. i truly try to stick by that. men are aroused by what they see and when we first met we got their pheromones churning; there's no reason that a year later or ten we can't continue to do the same; but it does take some effort, attention and awareness

men need a lot of stroking (no pun intended). the more we comment on how good they look, how sexy they are, how manly, etc being honest, but verbal about our feelings, the more virile they will feel and the more exciting the sex will be

this deserves a whole 'nuther post but in Mexico they say a woman should be a saint in the church, a chef in the kitchen and a whore in the bedroom, whoa nelly! meaning with your one and only there is no need for inhibition or fear or shame.

when a couple's sex life is as hot as i think it ought to be, no Twilight or telenovelas or movie star will ever be a substitute.
